Welcome!!! It wasn’t until I was in my early 30s, in nursing school, that I came to the self-realization that I had been a victim of abuse my “entire” life, so that’s when I saw a therapist for the first time ever. and she told me, “Keke, it seems like you want healthy relationships with unhealthy people.” She was right! I grew up in a toxic environment where my mom’s motto was “do as I say and not as I do,” and took great pride in showing “tough” love. And then later in life, I attracted t toxic men. I also became a people pleaser with no boundaries or knew the definition thereof. I had a superficial sense of self-love, respect, and worth, and was emotionally dysregulated.

Now let’s fast forward… a few years after setting boundaries, healing, and cutting folks off… Today, I am a psych RN (go figure), a pscyh nurse practitioner student, a mentor, and tutor for aspiring nurses, a mental health blogger, and a podcaster taking you on my journey to self-love, healing, and discovery!
